Otis Boykin, inventor of the resistor, attended Fisk University, a HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). One of the most famous HBCU’s is Howard University, whose graduates include Toni Morrison, Kamala Harris, Chadwick Boseman, and Ta-Nehisi Coates.
