The Royal Canadian Mint made the “Big Maple Leaf” coin from 100 kg of gold. It has a nominal value of $1 million CAD, but the gold content is worth much more than that ($12 million USD in 2025).
The Perth Mint in Australia has made a similar 1,012 kg gold coin with a nominal value of $1 million AUD.
