Room 212 Safety

Sign-out / Sign-in

    • If you come to class late, sign the late arrival sheet beside the door.
    • If you need to leave the classroom (bathroom, etc.), let Mr. Renwick know, then sign out on the sheet beside the door. When you return, sign back in.
      • No leaving in the first or last 10 minutes of class
      • Only 1 student should leave the class at a time

Chairs

    • Some of the chairs have feet missing and wobble strangely.
    • Do not hang your bag on the back of the tall chairs. If you sit down, put your bag on the bag, and then stand up, it is possible that the chair will flip over due to the weight of the bag.
    • Do not tilt the tall chairs backwards. The floor is slippery, and the feet can easily slip out and cause you to flip over backwards.

Outlets

    • There are outlets in the front of your desk. Watch out, as it is easy to accidentally rip the outlet out of the wall. Do not use the outlet in the desk behind you, as the cable will be in the way.

Tripping Hazards

    • The area behind the front desk is a raised platform with a step up.
    • There is an outlet that sticks out of the front of the platform near Mr. Renwick’s computer desk.

Heat

    • You can open the windows if needed to get some cool air.
    • There are electric fans that you can put near yourself to cool yourself down.

Water

    • There is lead in the pipes at Templeton. The classroom tap is run every morning to flush out any lead that has accumulated in the water overnight.
