- Should be finished building a first prototype (and have a picture for the FBD’s)
- Should be experimenting with other prototypes
- Can re-use/modify sticks from previous prototypes to save time
- Draw the free body diagrams of the 3 sticks and the rock (4 FBD’s total)
- Include angles and lengths
- Write out equations
- Try to relate the equations back to what you observed worked well/poorly during construction of your first prototype
- Have unique names for each force, across all 4 FBDs
- End up with 12 equations and 12 unknowns
