Current unit:  Cribbage and Linear Relations and Equations

  • Attendance
    • Sit according to the seating chart
    • FIT: 60 minute class
    • Period 3: Take down unused chairs near you
  • String Art Project Intro (20 minutes)
    • Learn about symmetry in art
      • We will be using 3 types of symmetry
        • Reflectional or inverted – in woodworking, reflectional symmetry is known as “book matching“
        • Biaxial
        • Rotational
    • Share homework – string art designs
    • Homework for Friday: Create at least 3 sketches using the 3 elements you already made and symmetry to create new designs
  • Work time (40 minutes)
    • Check homework: Lesson 5 examples 2abc (tiles and algebra)
    • Check homework: Create at least 3 basic elements of line art
    • Homework: Create at least 3 sketches
  • Wrap-up
    • Homework for Friday: Create at least 3 sketches
    • Period 4: Put up all the chairs
