Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Crush and dice the garlic.
  • Combine all the ingredients, except salt and pepper, and mix well.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

This vinaigrette tastes good with green salads and Greek salads as well.

Ranch Dip Recipe

Ingredients

Ranch Mix

  • 1 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Dip

  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Mix all the herbs and spices together.
  • Add the sour cream and mayonnaise, and mix.
  • Can be served immediately, but tastes best after sitting overnight.

Notes

The dry ingredients can be premixed in much larger quantities and stored in a dry dark place.
Optional: For a slightly healthier alternative, use plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt) instead of sour cream.
