Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar 110 g
  • 2 lemons 75 g
  • 2/3 cup fish sauce 190 g
  • 1 cup water 250 g
  • 4 cloves garlic 8 g
  • 2 carrots 250 g
  • 1 daikon 250 g
  • 2 tsp chili paste 15 g

Instructions

  • Juice the lemons.
  • Peel and thinly slice the daikon and the carrots.
  • Mince the garlic.
  • Mix all ingredients together. Flavours improve after sitting for 4-24 hours.
