Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 2 kg pork shoulder
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 large onions chopped into 1 cm pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1.5 tsp dried thyme
  • Buns for serving

Instructions

  • Spread the oil over the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the pork shoulder on top.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients. Pour over the meat.
  • Cook on high for 6 hours.
  • Shred the pork with 2 forks. Cook on high for 1 more hour.
  • Serve on buns.
