Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour 320 grams
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup cane sugar 65 grams
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed (100 grams)
- 2 eggs
- 3 bananas rotten
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips 150 grams
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Stir the chocolate chips into the dry ingredients.
- In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter or margarine.
- Beat the egg slightly, and mix into the creamed mixture with the bananas.
- Mix in sifted ingredients until just combined. Stir in the vanilla. Add milk one tablespoon at a time, making sure the batter does not become too moist.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake. After about 30 minutes, cover with a tented piece of aluminum foil. Continue baking until the top is brown and cracks along the top (about 55 minutes total). A toothpick stuck into a crack in the top should come out clean (other than melted chocolate).
